Mrs. Williams was a Unicoi County native but had lived in Maryland for 48 years before moving to Swannanoa in 1997. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Linnie Shelton Corn. Mrs. Williamd retired from Bendix Radio Division in Maryland after 27 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by: her husband, Golden Williams; two daughters, Faye Fender and Mae Oliver; and one sister, Virgie Boone. Survivors include: two sons, Earl Williams and Roger Williams, both of Baltimore; two daughters, Gale Hansen, Baltimore and Midge Roper, Swannanoa, North Carolina; four brothers, Thomas "Mutt" Corn and Smith Hoyle, both of Flag Pond; Harry Corn, Erwin, and Hartsell Hotle, Greeneville; one sister, Verta Haynes, Flag Pond; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Williams is interred in the Higgins Creek Cemetery, Flag Pond.
