John Allison of Guilford Co., NC to Warren Co., TN,

On 16 August 1791 John Allison wed Mary Shaw in Guilford Co., NC. After 1820 
they migrated to Warren Co., TN.

Warren County, TN Plat Bk. 1 page 11-2 on 22 May 1824 fifty acres for John 
Allison on Hickory Creek adj. 20 acres owned by said Allison which he 
purchased of Gan Johnson, the SW corner of a 260 acre tract that said Allison 
lives on, corner of a 20 acre entry in the name of Gan Johnson, conditional 
corner made between Allison and Luster, crossing the McMinnville Road, to 
include the improvement whereon Gan Johnson now lives. cc: Drury King & Hugh 
Allison.

Warren County, TN Plat Bk. 1 page 9 on 9 June 1824 John Luster #96 17 acres 
Hickory Creek adj his own 25 acres & a conditional line made between him and 
JOHN ALLISON, south boundary line of a 10 acre survey owned by JOHN ALLISON.

On 1 Sept. 1827 John Luster & Jesse Dunlap sold to John Thaxton JR. for $127 2 
tracts: #1 of 20 acres in CD 3 on Hickory Creek adj. Daniel Boiles [BILES] 
#2443; #2 20 acres in CD 3 adj. Jesse Dunlap & Robert Johnson. Wit. by ROBERT 
ALLISON & John Thaxton.

On 5 April 1836 John Elison & Elizabeth Morrow ADM & ADMTRIX of ROBERT MORROW 
deceased to Elisha Pepper. Robert Morrow in his lifetime titled to Elisha 
Pepper 20 acres on 19 July 1809 for $1 "Morrow's NE corner where widow now 
resides so as to include the dwelling house & spring of said Elisha Pepper".

Warren County, TN Will Book 1 page 551 on 5 April 1843 the inventory of Tempy 
Estes, decd., two combs given in by her mother to me John Allison. Gabriel 
Hammons, ADM.

Warren County, TN Will Book 3 page 138 dated 4 December 1852 I, John Allison, 
do make and publish this my last will and testament. 1st, I direct that my 
funeral expenses and just debts be paid. 2nd, I bequeath to my beloved wife 
Rachael Allison the house and land north and west of James Allison's during 
her life or widowhood, then to go to James Allison and his heirs. Rachael also 
to receive stock, furniture, tools, etc.. The balance of the estate to be sold 
and equally divided amongst my heirs. I also bequeath to my grandson Jefferson 
Thaxton one bay filly and my saddle. I appoint John Miller my executor. 
Witnesses William Bonner Sr. and John M. Little [this should be Lytle]. Proved 
in open court 3 January 1853. Warren County Will Book 3 page 240 on 15 March 
1855 settlement was made with John Miller executor of John Allison sr. 
deceased.

John Kelly Roberts listed in Civil War Questionnaries said he was the son of 
James & Martha Allison Roberts; James was in War of 1812 with Andrew Jackson & 
a son of Reuben Roberts a Rev. Soldier. His mother was Martha dau. of John &
Mary Allison & that John was a Rev. Soldier with Nathaniel Green 2 years at 
the close of the war.
