Chisam's Co. Mil Inf. transferred to the Arty? Jeremiah Gray is listed as a 
private in Col. R. C. Napier, Commander omitted, Inf. There was also Joseph 
Scott, Nehemiah Scott & Robert Scott under R. C. Napier.

England & Gabriel Allen wit. by WILLIAM COLLINS & Thomas Hennessee. Bk. 1814B 
pages 321-2 Alexander Martin sold to James Martin 77 acres on Sequatchie Road 
& Collins River adj. James Hennessee & England dated 14 April 1816. Book 1814 
on 3 April 1819 James Martin sold to Thomas Hopkins 77 acres on Collins River 
for $880 the same property he had purchased of Alexander Martin. Wit. by 
Robert French & Drury Wood.

Samuel Betts Sr. was born ca 1730 & lived in Maryland in 1776, the area that 
put him in Sussex Co. Delaware in 1790. He died in Hancock Co., GA 1809. He 
had daughters Elizabeth & Sarah that wed COLLINS.

Warren Co., TN Plat Bk. 1\279 Thomas Hopkins #1221 on 3 Jan. 1826 150 acres on 
Collins River adj. surveys made for ALEXANDER MARTIN whereon THOMAS BETTS now 
lives; Moses Burlason & Robert Collier beginning on Martin's NW corner of his 
20 acres S with same to a stake in ROAD leading across Shellsford on COLLINS 
RIVER on said Martin's 30 acre tract then W to corner of said tract North 
Burlason's line to his corner then W passing his corner N having crossed the 
STAGE ROAD then E crossing STAGE ROAD. Surveyed 19 Feb. 1827: Robert Collier & 
THOMAS BETTS.

SURRY COUNTY, NC LAND ENTRY #568 for Matthias BETTS 250 acres & #570 Anthony 
Betts 200 acres on Harmons Creek above Jacob Huttz. Alexander Martin had 640 
acres in NC on Dan River, Buck Island Creek adj. John & George Slaton & Wm. 
Mullin. James Martin also had land there as did David Gordon, John McCollum, 
Richard Lawrence, Jabez Jarvis & Jacob, John & ArthurScott.

a bench of Cumberland Mt. including a survey of 8 acres where said SMITH DID 
LIVE, A. Higginbotham, Joseph THOCK & THOMAS BETT.

Collins River adj. line of Grey Blount's 640 acres. Moses Burleson & Robert 
Collier; #1138 100 acres on 2 Jan. 1826 Collins River W of Collier's field 
including a survey of 15 acres granted to or now belonging to John Reed heirs. 
Moses Burlason & John Perryman.
