TSLA, Warren County Tennessee Deeds, Book E, page 83, 18 August 1823

Deed made August 18, 1823 Between Benjamin Biggs of Lawrence County 
Alabama to Phillip Smith, Warren County Tennessee

Witnesseth: For four hundred dollars Benjamin Biggs sold Phillip Smith a
tract of land containing one hundred acres in Warren County, Tennessee.
Beginning at a Black oak near <illegible> supposed to be the south east
corner of 640 acre tract run out for Thomas Hopkins and running thence
south forty poles to a black oak, thence east ninety poles to a stake,
thence north one hundred and seventy poles to a stake, thence West ninety
poles to a post oak and blackjack in the east boundary line of said 640
acres running thence south with a line of the same and passing his corner
in all one hundred and thirty seven poles to the beginning.
