This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Steve Carson carson@gscassociates.com ==================================================================== Land Grant, State of Tennessee to Michael Ridinger TSLA, TN Mountain District Land Grants, Book W, page 764, Grant # 10246 To all to whom these presents shall come - Greeting: Know ye that in consideration of Entry No. 4026 made in the office of the Entry Taker of Coffee County and entered on the 28th day of December 1847 Pursuant to the provisions of an act of the General Assembly of the State passed on the 9th day of January 1830, there is granted by said State of Tennessee unto Michael Ridinger a certain Tract or Parcel of LAND, containing Eighty four acres and thirty nine poles by survey, bearing the date 31st January 1849 lying in Coffee County on the Barren Fork of the Collinses River in District No. 10 and bounded as follows: Beginning at a Post Oak near said Ridinger's well. Running thence east one hundred and thirty five and one half poles to a stake on Samuel Ridinger's south west corner of a one hundred and fifty acre tract. Thence south for ninety eight poles to a stake on G. W. Beal's north boundary line. Thence west with his line one hundred and twenty eight poles to his corner. Continuing west seven and one half poles to Ward's east boundary line. Thence north with said line ninety eight poles to the beginning. With hereditaments and appurtences. To have and to hold said tract or parcel of LAND, with its appurtances, to said Michael Ridinger and his heirs forever. In witness whereof, Neil S. Brown, Governor of the State of Tennessee, hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the 25th day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine and of the Independence of the United States seventy fourth years.
