This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Steve Carson carson@gscassociates.com ==================================================================== Land Grant, State of Tennessee to Samuel Ridinger TSLA, TN Mountain District Land Grants, Book G, page 15, Grant # 4316 To all to whom these presents shall Come Greeting: Know ye that by virtue of Entry No. 3058 made in the office of the Entry taker of Warren County and entered on the Second day of June 1830 pursuant to the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of Said State passed on the ninth day of January 1830 there is Granted by the Said State of Tennessee to Samuel Ridinger a certain Tract of parcel of land Containing one hundred acres by survey bearing date the 4 day of October 1833 lying in said County on the Waters of the Barren fork of Collin's River. Beginning on a frost Oak the north East corner of a Sixty acre tract Granted to Philip (sic) Smith. Running thence East forty four poles to a stake on Alexander Smith's Thence south with Said Smith's line one hundred and twenty five poles to a Blackjack Smith's corner. Thence East with Smith's line Sixty Six Poles to two Small hickories thence south One hundred and thirteen and one tenth poles to a post Oak. Thence West one hundred poles to a hickory on Michael Ridinger's line. Thence north with Said line One hundred and ninety four poles to a Black oak the north East corner of Ridinger's hundred acre tract Then West two poles to a Stake, Smith's corner. Thence north forty-four poles to the beginning. With the hereditaments and appurtenances to have and to hold the Said Tract or parcel of land with it's appurtenances to the Said Samuel Ridinger and his heirs forever. In Witness whereof Newton Cannon Governor of the State of Tennessee has hereunto Set his hand and Caused the Great Seal of the State to be affixed at Nashville on the 14 day of January 1836 and 60 year of our Independence.
