Cemetery is located in a pine thicket at the east side of Butchertown Road about 
100 yards south of Almeta Moore Road.This cemetery is now a pasture for livestock. 
There was enumerated years ago upwards of 60 graves here. The only remaining visible 
tombstones are the broken ones of:

Britton Phillips    Born: August 15,1808
                    Died: February 25,1867

Margaret Phillips   Born: October 4,1817
                    Died: July 1,1855

Personal Knowledge:
Britton Phillips was the son of Dyer Phillips and grandson of Revoluntionary War Captain 
George Phillips of Cumberland Parish, Lunenburg County, Virginia. Margaret Cohen,who is 
buried in this cemetery was the second wife of Britton Phillips. Britton's first wife was 
Elizabeth Minerva Bowman.
