Donald Lyell KNOXVILLE -- B. Donald "Don" Lyell, formerly of Johnson City, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Don was a very active member of Karns Church of Christ and was formerly very active at the Central Church of Christ in Johnson City. He was a Mason, Shriner and member of the Johnson City Metro Lion's Club. Don was retired from American Water Heater Corp. in Johnson City. He was an avid golfer, a master craftsman and a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors: wife of 43 years, Shirley Cunningham Lyell; daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jim DeSilvey of Greenwood, Ind.; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Mary Lyell of Farragut, and Rob and Kristina Lyell of Karns; grandchildren, Mark Thomas and Jordan DeSilvey, Forrest, Haley and Gavin Lyell; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-7:45 p.m. Friday followed by funeral services at 8 p.m. in the Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with Brother Edwin Jones officiating. Family and friends will gather at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lake View Cemetery for graveside services and interment. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Church of Christ Building Fund.
