Green Charles Hubert Green, 98, 710 East 2nd Street, Elizabethton, died Saturday, November 19, 2005, at Hillview Health Center. Mr. Green was a native of Washington County and a son of the late Alvin and Sarah Percell Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Hurley Green, two sons, Jack and Charles Williams, and by three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Green had lived in Sandusky, Ohio for several years before returning to Elizabethton in 1970. He retired from the Sandusky School System. He attended Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Hester and Gene Murphy, Watauga, Bertha Lee and Jim Miller and Ruby and Cecil Trent, all of Sandusky, Ohio; and a sister, Myrtle Bennett, Jonesborough. Two granddaughters, five grandsons, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Green will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, November 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mark Street officiating. Music will be provided by Brenda Deloach, soloist. Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends and the men of Keenburg Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter and son-in-law, Hester and Gene Murphy, 159 Murphy Private Drive, Watauga. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Condolences to the Green family may be e-mailed to mfc@chartertn.net.
