He was born in Kentucky, a son of the late Delmer Gribbins and Cora McCubbins Gribbins. Mr. Gribbins was a long-distance truck driver and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He had moved to Bristol Nursing Home in November of 1995. Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Harrell of Tallulah, La.; a brother, James Gribbins of Louisville, Ky.; and a sister, Genevieve Drain of Cullman, Ala. Mr. Griffins will be interred in the National Cemetery at Mountain Home. Condolences and memories may be sent via e-mail to condolenceds@oakley-cook.com.
