WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Rosa Dean Keplinger, 29 Oct 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Rosa Dean Keplinger, 81, Keplinger Lane, Jonesborough, died Friday, October 29, 2004, at Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Keplinger was a native of Washington County and a daughter of the late Walter and Dora Keplinger. She was also preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, three sisters and four brothers. Mrs. Keplinger was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Jonesborough. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Wilma J. and Ken Adams, Watauga; four sons, Eddie Keplinger, Johnson City, Jerry Keplinger, Homosassa Springs, Fla., Sherrill Keplinger, Erwin, and William Keplinger, Jonesborough; two brothers, Walter Keplinger Jr., Erwin, and Curtis Keplinger, Daytona Beach, Fla.; a sister, Elsie Huskins, Erwin; and 10 grandchildren, Jessica Deloach and Christopher Smith, both of Telford, Benjamin Smith, Inverness, Fla., Rebecca Smith, Johnson City, Lahome Keplinger, Eddie Keplinger Jr., Lewis Keplinger and Gary Presnell, all of Jonesborough, Tina Gibson, Mooresburg, and Patsy Childress, Elizabethton. Fifteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 2, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Arnold Road, Lamar Community, with Rev. Eddie Childress and Rev. Dean Presnell officiating. Music will be by Patsy Childress, Tina Gibson and Sierra Presnell. Interment will follow in the Keplinger Cemetery, Cherry Grove Road, Jonesborough. Active pallbearers will be Gary Presnell, Christopher Smith, Eddie Childress and Silas Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be her sons and Gene Lockner, Hazen Arnold and Jim McNeal. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 1, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence of her daughter, Wilma J.
