Mildred E. Lunsford 


    Mildred Eva Lunsford, 93, 148 Winchester Court, Johnson City, died Friday, 
March 28, 2008, at her home. 


    Mrs. Lunsford was a native of Washington County and had lived all of her 
life in the area. She was the daughter of the late Dollie Eva McCurry Pate and 
the late Robert Pate. 


    Her grandchildren and her beloved church, Lighthouse for Jesus, were the 
special joys in her life. 


    Survivors include a son, Ronald Tabor, Johnson City; a niece, Bobbie 
Worden, Johnson City; five grandchildren, Ruth Ann Goodman, Elizabethton, 
Michael Tabor, Johnson City, Lora McGee, Telford, Crystal Mathis, Erwin, and 
Kim Moon, Telford; and eight great-grandchildren. 


    Funeral services for Mrs. Lunsford will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 
30, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel with Rev. Bill C. Younce 
officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 
p.m. Sunday. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 
31, at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather at Morris-
Baker at 10:30 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery. For those who wish, 
the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Lighthouse for 
Jesus Church, 2680 Highway 19E, Elizabethton, TN 37643. Condolences may be
