Malone Joe Dallas Malone, 86, 1609 E. Watauga, Johnson City, died Saturday, November 3, 2001, at Lakebridge Health Care Center. Mr. Malone was a native of Carter County and had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was a son of the late Robert "Bob" Malone and Nora Malone and was also preceded in death by two sons, a sister, four brothers and a granddaughter. Mr. Malone was a member of The Way of the Cross Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Malone, and a daughter, Catherine Malone Chance, Telford. Seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Watauga, Johnson City, who died Saturday, November 3, 2001, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 7, at Bunker Hill Cemetery with the Rev. John Davidson officiating. Special music will be provided by Carl Scalf. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
