WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Daisy Crumley McGee, 3 Jul 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Mrs. Daisy Crumley McGee, 94, Central Drive, Johnson City, died Saturday, July 3, 2004, at Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. McGee was a native of Washington County and a daughter of the late Charles W. and Effie Jane Good Crumley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John "Johnnie" McGee, January 2, 2004; four brothers, Jack Crumley, John Crumley, Jim Crumley and Buford Crumley; a sister, Madeline Jones; and by two infant sisters. Mrs. McGee was a member of Sinking Creek Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday School Class. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley McGee, of the home; one sister, Ruby Leonard, of the home; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Crumley, Pensacola, Fla., and Aida Crumley, Elizabethton; a special nephew and his wife, Bob and Jeanette McGee, Stanley, N.C.; special nieces and their husbands, Dottie and Sam McAmis, Watauga, Carolyn and Jerry McNeil, Johnson City, and Annette and Chris Rosenbalm, Watauga; and special nephews and their wives, Tom and Edna Crumley and Larry and Johnnie Crumley, all of Johnson City. Several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday, July 5, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Reece Harris officiating. The committal service and entombment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 6, in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Tom Crumley, Jerry McNeil, Chris Rosenbalm, Sam McAmis, Johnny Crumley and Bill Sluder. A special Thank You to Jason Bragg, members of Sinking Creek Baptist Church, friends and neighbors of Central Community, Dr. Jim Hanson, Staff of Third and Fifth Floors of Johnson City Medical Center and especially Judy, nurse on the 5400 Wing.
