WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Elma White Moore, 17 Mar 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Elma White Moore, 76, Idlewilde Circle, Johnson City died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at her residence. She was a native of Old Butler and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Toby White and Anna Grindstaff White. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clay Heaton and Arnold Bledsoe; two daughters, Hazel Dugger and Attry Carver; an infant son, Worley Ray Heaton, and a brother, Kenneth White. She was of the Free Will Baptist faith. Mrs. Moore had been employed as a certified nursing assistant at Johnson City Memorial Hospital and the Mountain Home VA Medical Center. Survivors include two sons, Mearlin Heaton and his wife, Elizabeth, and Billy Heaton and his wife, Kathy, all of Johnson City; three daughters, Verna Vance and her husband, Cecil (who was Mrs. Moore's special son-in-law), Brenda Heaton, and Shelby Vance and her husband, Bobby, all of Johnson City; another son-in-law, Randy Carver, Johnson City; two brothers, Terry White, Elizabethton and Larry White, Johnson City; 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Moore will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004 and other hours at the residence. The committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20 in the Happy Valley Memorial Park. Friends are asked to meet the family at the cemetery for this service.
