WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Ray F. Rowe, 26 May 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Ray F. Rowe, 75, Stanmoore Drive, Johnson City, died Thursday, May 26, 2005, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Rowe was a native of Washington County and the son of the late Frank Minton and Elizabeth Rae Swanner Rowe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Mae Hyder Rowe, June 16, 2000. Mr. Rowe retired as a glass inspector for AFG Industries after 34 years. He was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Jackie Rowe, Ellington, Conn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Robert Slone, Johnson City, and Lisa and Ronnie Osborne, Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Kelly Hoilman, Andrea Slone, Ashley Rowe, Caleb Osborne, Jessica Osborne, Michelle Osborne, Tony Osborne and Jenny Rowe; three great-grandchildren, Alijah Egolf, Alicia Slone and Mason Egolf; a sister, Opal Lyons, Elizabethton; a nephew, Dean Lewis; and two nieces, Nancy Kelley and Carol Honeycutt. The family wish to give special recognition to Clata Fisher, Elizabethton. Funeral services for Mr. Rowe will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 28, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Shannon officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Robert Slone, Will Hoilman, Ronnie Osborne, Caleb Osborne, Monie Honeycutt and Dean Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Oak Grove Christian Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Friends may also call at the residence, 119 Stanmoore Drive, Johnson City, at anytime.
