He was the son of Collie "Skip" and Vada Lynch Sinnett of Charleston, W.Va., and had been in the Bristol area for around 40 years. He was retired from Sears and was a member of Addilyn Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a former scoutmaster for Troop 11 during the mid-1960s. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II and a U.S. Navy veteran serving on the USS Wisconsin during the Korean War. Survivors include: wife, Barbara "Bedell" Sinnett; son, James Edward Sinnett and wife Debby Perkins Sinnett of Bristol Tennessee; daughter, Nancy Sinnett Vernon of Bluff City; sisters, Betty Jane Basham of Charleston,W.Va., and Freida Haller of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Stacey E. Sinnett of Newton, N.C., Matt Sinnett of Bristol Tennessee, and Lesley and Hunter Vernon of Bluff City; and faithful dog, Sally. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday at 4 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Brown officiating. Committal service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the National Cemetery in Mountain Home, Tenn. Military honors will be presented by the VFW Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975. The family would like to say a special thanks to Rebecca King. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimers Foundation.
