Leonard Calvin Wishon 





    Leonard Calvin Wishon, 83, of Elizabethton, died Thursday, October 4, 

2006, at Ivy Hall Nursing Home. 





    Mr. Wishon was a native of Washington County and a son of the late Leonard 

and Martha Fletcher Wishon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in 

death by a sister and seven brothers. 





    Mr. Wishon was a graduate of Science Hill High School. He had lived a 

number of years in Florida before returning to Elizabethton. He was a retired 

manager with the St. Regis Paper Company in Lake Placid, Fla., and was of the 

Christian faith. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. 





    Survivors include his wife, Irene Brown Wishon; a daughter, Charlotte 

Lominec of Covington, Ga., and three sons, Alan Maxwell of Covington, Ga., 

Andy Maxwell of Elizabethton and Michael Wishon of Jacksonville, Fla. Ten 

grandchildren also survive. 





    Memorial services for Mr. Wishon will be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday, 

October 8, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Don Marshall, minister, 

officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the 

funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. 

Wishon to the Alzheimer's Association, Northeast Tennessee Chapter, 207 N. 

Boone Street, Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN 37604. Friends may also call at the
