Weaver Kenneth Ray Weaver, 72, of Bristol Tennessee went to be with his Lord Monday, Dec. 2, 2002, at James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a native of Burnwell, W.Va., and had lived in Bristol since 1974. He was born Oct. 18, 1930, to the late Val and Helen Bosher Weaver. Mr. Weaver was a U.S. veteran of the Marine Corps and U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of State Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, Kenneth M. Keener and wife Linda of Mulberry, Fla.; sister, Macel Cooper, Columbus, Ohio; and his church family at State Street Church of Christ. Funeral services will be conducted 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Ministers Dan Bailey and Richard Bateman officiating. Pallbearers are Charlie Nave, Burl Sink, Lewis Osborne, Malcolm Green, Wade Brooks, Bill Lewis, Jerry Lunsford and Bill Merritt. Honorary pallbearers, Eugene Wyatt, Jay D. Winters, Charlie Sams, Garry Smith, Ken Canter, Robert Jones and men of State Street Church of Christ. Committal services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at the National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tenn. Military honors will be conducted by Patton-Crosswhite Post 6975.
