WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Jack Kerrigan Workman, 9 Oct 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Jack K. Workman Jack Kerrigan Workman, 77, was born October 9, 1925 and died August 8, 2003 at Lakebridge Healthcare. Mr. Workman was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and a son of the late Robert and Jane Workman. In addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Billie Jean Workman, in 1989; a son, Marvin Kent Workman; a granddaughter, Shannon Nichole Adams; and two brothers, Tommy Workman and Bobby Workman. Mr. Workman was of the Baptist faith. He served his country as an Infantryman in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II. He was a cab driver with Yellow Cab Company in Johnson City for several years and later retired from Harris Manufacturing. Survivors include four daughters, Carolyn Sue Crawford, Jonesborough, and Deborah Jean Adams, Cynthia Gail Ford and Donna Marie Davis, all of Johnson City; a son, Terry Jack Workman, Johnson City; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Rowe, Johnson City, and Betty Combs, Knoxville; and two brothers, Ralph Workman and Robert Workman, both of Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Mr. Workman was conducted Saturday, August 9, at 7 p.m. from the North Chapel of Morris-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Greer officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Committal services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 10, at Washington County Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to meet at the cemetery for this service.
