Washington County 1790 List of Taxables Washington County, TN

[Transcriber's note: This is a Tax Roll taken in January 1790 in what 
was then Washington County, North Carolina.  On 25 February 1790, North 
Carolina ceded this land to the Federal Government.  On 26 May 1790, this
area was included in the newly formed Territory South of the Ohio River. 
From the locations in the Tax Roll, it appears that most residents were 
situated in current day Unicoi County.  Some of them may have been in 
eastern Greene County and southwestern Washington County.  The original 
document can be found in the Washington County, TN Courthouse.]
