Will of Godfrey Saylor, dated 6 May 1861 I Godfrey Saylor do make and publish this my last will and testament First I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of any money that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executor and Secondly I give and bequeath to my wife Susannah Saylor two beds and steads and as many bed clothes as she wants and one small table and one falling leaf table and what cooking utensils she wants one pair of fire dogs and shovel and pot ramble and one years provision ten bushels wheat and ten bushels of corn and Thirdly I bequeath that David Saylor shall have the third part of the present crop of wheat and he is to cut it and thresh it and measure it in the half bushel and the corn and the oats the same way and my wife to have one bureau and one half of the garden and the other to David Saylor and Fourthly I bequeath that the land shall be sold and the household and kitchen furniture and farming utensils and all stock and grain shall be sold also the Fifth I bequeath that the proceeds be equally divided between my wife and David Saylor, John Saylor and Godfrey S. Saylor and that money to be put into the hands of their mother for their use as guardian for said children the three to have one share of said estate ...
