This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Martha Thayer MARTTHAYER@aol.com ==================================================================== James Hollis Letters Testamentary State of Tennessee Wayne County Court January session 1850 Whereas it appears to the court here that Thomas GIST is dead and having made no last will and testament and application being made by James Hollis to have letters of administration granted to him upon all and singular the goods and chattles, rights and credits of the said deceased and he having given Bond and Security as is by law in such cases required where upon the Court ordered that he have Letters accordingly Those are therefore to authorize you the said James Hollis to enter into and upon all and singular the good & Chattles rights and credits of the said Thomas Gist deceased and the same in your possession take when and where to be found in this state and a true and perfect Inventory thereof take and return into our ensuing County Court an Oath and all of the Just Debts of the intestate pay so far as the said estate will amount or contend and the residue thereof deliver to those who have a right there to by Law here in fail not.
