THORN deceased and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court that the said Wm Thorn is dead and having left no last will and testament the application was granted accordingly These an therefore to authorize and empower you the said Penny Thorn to enter in and upon all and singular the goods and chattles to be found in the State of Tennessee and the same to take into your possession that you make and return upon oath to our next succeeding County Court a true and perfect Inventory of the same that you pay all the just debts of the said Estate and the surrender if any pay one to those who may be entitled to the same by law This 5th day of October 1837 Witness Wm Jones Clerk of our said Court Wm Jones Clerk
