He was born December 25, 1757, in Orange County Virginia. While he resided in Spottsylvania County, Virginia, he enlisted in Virginia troops in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After the Revolution he moved to Wilke's County, Georgia, thence to Jackson and Clark Counties, Georgia, and thence to Tennessee where he first resided in Wilson and Rutherford Counties. He then settled in Weakley County, Tennessee, where he died October 1, 1852 or October 1, 1853.
