WHITE COUNTY, TN - DEEDS - Edmond Blankenship to Jacob Teeters 1859 ----¤¤¤---- LAND RECORDS, BOOK 27, PAGE 284 White County Courthouse, Sparta, Tennessee Edmond Blankenship To Deed Jacob Teeters I, Edmond Blankenship have this day bargained and sole and do hereby transfer and convey to Jacob Teeters and his heirs forever for the consideration of seven hundred and fifty dollars to me be paid a tract or parcel of land in the State of Tennessee White County and district number four lying between the Caney Fork and the Hickory Nut Mountains and conveyed by JAMES H. RHOADS to said BLANKENSHIP containing by estimation one hundred and twenty five acres be the same more or less and bounded as follows (To wit) Beginning at a Spanish Oak the north west corner of a fifty-five acre tract running south with a line of the same 90 poles to a Dogwood Thence east eighty-five and one half poles to a small Black Oak and pointers Thence north eleven poles to a dead Dogwood and White Oak pointers Thence east sixty poles to a stake Hickory tree and Dogwood pointers Thence north thirty-three poles to three small Poplars Thence east twenty poles to a Black Oak Thence north thirty-two poles to a stake and pointers, Thence west sixty-five poles to a stake in a field Thence north fifty poles to a post and pointers Thence east 1 pole to a Dogwood the south east corner of a thirty acre survey made by JESSE FRANKS Thence north with a line of said survey sixty poles to a Black Oak Thence west with another of said lines forty- four poles to a dead Oak and Ash and to corner Thence north fifty poles to an Ash at the edge of rocks, thence west twenty poles to a Walnut Thence south to Harris Corner and with his line in all one hundred and fifty poles to a stake in the north of BLANKENSHIP'S HOUSE Thence west thirty-six and one half poles to the beginning to have and to hold the same to the said Jacob A. Teeters, his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Jacob Teeters that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant, and bind myself, my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the said JACOB TEETERS his heirs and assigns forever against claims of all persons whatever in testimony where of the above named EDMOND BLANKINSHIP doth hereunto set his hand and affix his seal the 1st day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred fifty- nine (1859.)
