Grant, No 5943, dated, March 7, 1838, to Jeremiah Whitson for 250 acres.
Entry, No. 2433, dated, July 5, 1834. Surveyed, Oct. 26, 1836
In the Board Valley. Beginning at a white hickory and sugar tree,
the NW corner of a tract formerly owned by John Lyons, purchased by him
of Joseph B. Dibrell; thence N. 39 poles to a dogwood on a hill side; 
thence W. passing John Phillips SE corner and with his line, and passing
over a steep bluff at the lower end of Wm. Parker's plantation, in all, 
236 poles to 2 sugar trees, a beech and hickory, said Phillips corner; 
thence S. 226 poles to a spanish oak and pointers at a hollow; thence E.
236 poles to a dogwood and pointers; thence N. passing said Lyons corner 
and with his line, in all 187 poles to beginning. Excluding 83 acres of 
older claims.
