C. _OORE of Texas is on a visit to the family of ELIJAH FISHER and other relatives in this county. Mr. and Mrs. (Can't read rest) Mr. ROBERT BROWN, of Kansas, a flour salesman, spent part of week here traveling with J.C. SPARKMAN. The voting booths and ______ were next to each other Thursday, ___ ___ a good crowd in attendance. Most of the political candidates elected seem to give universal satisfaction unless it was the governor. Mrs. LAURA PEARSON of Sparta was a transient guest of Mrs. COOPER Thursday. Mrs. MALONEY and Mrs. PEERS of McMinnville were guests of the COOPERS Sunday. The meeting at Jericho by ELDER MARTIN closed Saturday after a two weeks' series of sermons. Large crowds attended regularly. JAMES FISHER and PETER SPARKMAN, who are our sick of this community, are reported better. A crowd of 23 people attended services at Viola Church of Christ Sunday night, to hear Eld. SAM PITMAN who is doing the preaching. JAMES KUHN of Atlanta came to visit his sister, MRS. PETER SPARKMAN. The ambulance from McMinnville came for MR. WALKER from Jericho community and took him to the hospital. MR. JOHN DONALDSON is having his home improved by painting. COOKEVILLE, ROUTE 5 A good rain was enjoyed by the people of this communtiy Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. LUTHER GRAHAM visited at JAKE RAY'S Friday night. MRS. RIDLEY BURGESS returned from Nshville Sunday. CHARLIE GOODWIN has gone to Old Hickory to visit with his sisters, MRS. CLARE SAVAGE and MISS MARGARET GOODWIN. MRS. SAM FAOWLER is reported to be improving some. Mr. and Mrs. MILUS HOWARD spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. SAM CASH. Mr. and Mrs. C____ WALKER visited at HAMP HOWARD'S Sunday. Miss MAYME HOWARD spent Sunday with Miss EULA BURGESS. MR. And Mrs. A.Z. RANDOLPH and children of Hooker, Okla., are visiting here. Mr. and Mrs. ____ HOWARD visited her sister, Mrs. ROBT. RAY, of COOKEVILLE, who is sick. MR. And MRS. HAMP MULLICAN visited Mr. and Mrs. WM. MULLICAN. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. CLYDE MULLICAN, who were married recently. Mr. and Mrs. JOE WEST of Cookeville visited at J. M. HOWARD'S recently. Miss MAYME SAYLORS has returned to Cookeville, where she is working. Mrs. HOLLIS GOODWIN and Mrs. BOB MOORE spent one day last week with Mrs. R.P. PRICE of Sparta.
