GILEAD Mr. and Mrs. THEO WILLIAMS of Florida are visiting his niece, Mrs. A. M. PORTER. CLAUD AUSTIN and mother visited relatives at Lost Creek Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. W.H. GOOCH and son, MASON, of Sparta, spent Sunday at Maplewood farm. Mrs. JORDAN AUSTIN and little daughter, AUDRY JANE, of Akron and Mrs. J. W. AUSTIN spent last Sunday at R. L. AUSTIN'S. REV. I. W. KEATHLEY preached for us Sunday. Saturday and Sunday will be quarterly conference at this place. This is the 4th and last conference for the year, so hope each church will be represented and each bring a good report, BRO. JARRETT, our new presiding elder, will preach Saturday, also Sunday at 11 am. Everybody is cordially invited to attend these services. Let's all plan to be on time for S.S. The Junior class will conduct opening exercises Sunday morning. E.R. KNOWLES and family visited at BRADLEY PHIFER'S at Lambs Sunday. EATON Mr. and Mrs. PLUMMER HORTON and son, MASON, of Gum Spring spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. S.J. HORTON. Mr. and Mrs. KENNETH CRUISE of Doyle visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.R. KNOWLES, Sunday. Misses MATTYE and MINNE DODSON, LORENE HURD and FRANCES HORTON entered W.C.H.S. Monday. Misses RUBY PRICE and VIRGINIA SWINDELL of Doyle spent weekend with Mr. and Mrs. D. L. PRICE. Miss GEORGIA CARRICK of White Seminary spent week-end with Miss LORENE HURD. E.D. COOPER, Mrs. E. L. HURD and daughter, WILLIE VAUGHN, and FLOY LYNN HURD of Rome, Ga., spent Wednesday night at J. F. HURD'S. They were accompanied home by LEE EDWARD HURD, who has been with his grandparents for several months. Mrs. MACK PRICE of Doyle and Misses PAULINE and VERA MOORE of Gum Spring visited their sister, Mrs. S. J. HORTON, Tuesday. Mrs. LEON DODSON attended the graveyard cleaning at Jericho Saturday.
