GAMBLE and children visited relatives near Sparta this week-end. Sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. G.W. McLAUGHLIN and also little DOROTHY MARIE PERRY. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to the bereaved in the dark hours of trouble. I am surely glad to report that MR. GEORGE WILLHITE, who has been in the hospital at Cookeville is able to be back at home and come back and help out with our Sunday school again. Mr. and Mrs. CLARENCE JONES and children have been visiting relatives in this communtiy. W. R. WALKER was a Sunday guest of his daughter, Mrs. ERNEST BANDY. MR. and MRS. FINNIE SETWEART and children and JIM WILHITE visited MR. And MRS. GEO. WILLHITE Sunday. MRS. JOSIE STEWART spent last week with her sister, Mrs. J. D. STEWART, at Sparta FINLEY SWACK of Sparta and LEONARD RAPER of Doyle spent Friday afternoon at Mrs. JOSIE STEWARTS. MRS. HATTIE STEWART attended church here Sunday. MISS RUTH ELLEN BROWN of Sparta has been spending several days with her sister, Mrs. G. L. WILHITE. Mrs. FLORRIE METCALF of Liberty, Tenn., and Mrs. MAY WALKER were Saturday afternoon guests of Mrs. JOSIE STEWART. Mr. and Mrs. GEO. PENNINGTON and children visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. JASPER PENNINGTON Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. ED MANSELL and little daughter, DOROTHY MAI, attended the pie and ice cream supper at Yankeetown Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. J. D. STEWART spent a few hours with Mr. and Mrs. ALBERT WALKER Sunday afternoon. We surely would be glad to see a good rain, as our crops are getting thirsty again. Mr. and Mrs. FRED HUDDLESTON visited relatives in this community Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. CLARENCE JONES and children, CLARABEL, KATHERINE, and FRED THOMAS, of Akron, (?), Miss EMMA STEWART, Mrs. BIRDIE ELLER, Mr. CRADE SWACK and Mrs. EMER MYERS of Lawrenceburg, JIM SWACK and son of Montery, visited Mrs. JOSIE STEWART Monday.
