J. M. PASSONS has been on sick list. Mr. and Mrs. JOHN NEWTON have returned to their home in Texas after an extended visit with relatives here. Mrs. MOLLIE FELTON has been on the sick list. GORDON WALLACE and wife visited Mrs. ROE PASSONS Sunday. RUFUS and VINNIE WHITE and LOUISE TERRY visited relatives near McMinnville last Saturday. We learn that JOHN BRADY and family have sold their home to a family near Baxter. We hope we don't lose the former ones from our midst. And will welcome the new ones to our community. A few from this part were in Cumberland county last week, looking after their cattle. Let everyone remember the graveyard cleaning at Old Union Saturday, the 16th, and those who have dear ones resting there should try to take a part in the work and help clean the cemetery off, as this speaks much for a communtiy. The dry weather still continues. We are needing rain again. The election went off quietly here and with more women voting than usually. SHADY GROVE Mr. and Mrs. THURMAN KNOWLES and daughter, Miss BARBARA ANNE, Miss KEMPER of Chattanooga are visiting his father, W.P. KNOWLES. Mrs. JOE S LITTLE and daughter, DOROTHY, and Miss WILLIE LITTLE, of Dubois, Texas, are visiting their aunt, Mrs. EMMA W_____. JOE PIRTIE has returned from nashville. Mrs. CHARLES FELTON is very sick. Mrs. MARY J OFFICER is visisting her sister, Mrs. EMMA WIASTBAD. Mrs. A. L. DAVIS is sick Mrs. BILL LOWERY is improving. Mrs. HENRY, LOWERY, who has been very sick, is improving.
