This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Wanda Muncey Gant Gant@BLomand.net ==================================================================== $40 Reward Forcibily made there escape from out of the Jail of this county on the evening of the 19th inst the two following named prisoners both confined on charges of Horse Stealing, to wit: ISAAC MARTIN about six foot 2 1/2 inches high, very stout made, fair complecting, about 30 years of age, he formerly lived in Warren County, where his family now reside, he made his escape without either hat or shoes. JOHN LAY about 5 foot 7 1/2 inches high, fair complection, about 27 or 30 years of age, very bad countenance and down look. The above reward will be given for the apprehension and confinement of both of the above named prisoners, so taht I can again get them into my possession, or twenty dollars for either of them. Wm. C.
