Trotter & Anderson Berryman Registered 5 June 1822. Know all men by these presents that we Anderson Berryman & Isham R. Trotter of the County of Williamson and State of Tennessee have this day bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto Angus McPhail of the County and State aforesaid two negro girls slaves named Polly & Patsy for the sum of four hundred and fifty dollars to us in hand paid this day we doth hereby acknowledge and we do further warrant and defend the titles of the said negro girls from the claim or claims of every person or persons whatsoever unto the said Angus McPhail his heirs executors and administrators and from the claim of us our heirs and assigns forever and will warrant the said negores to be sound & healthy at this time given from under our hands and seals this fifth day of November 1821.
