Deed 272 acres conveyed by Anderson Berryman registered 31st day of May 1813 lying on Big Harpeth. This indenture made this twenty (sic) day of October one thousand eight hundred and twelve between Anderson Berryman of Williamson County and State of Tennessee and John Nichols Senr. of Davidson County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth: that Anderson Berryman for the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Nichols Senr. the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath bargained sold delivered conveyed and confirmed unto the said John Nichols Senr. his heirs and assigns forever a certain tract of land containing two hundred seventy two acres situate lying and being in the County of Williamson and State aforesaid and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning on Henry Ingram's line to Cottontons heirs line, thence along Cottontons heirs line to Donalsons line thence along Donalsons line to David Hustons line thence along the said Hustons line to John Nichols line to the beginning it being the land that John Nichols Senr conveyed to Josiah Wooldridge lying on Big Harpeth. To have and to hold the aforesaid land with all and singular rights benefits and profits [one illegible word] heriditaments (sic) and appurtances of in and to the same belonging or in any way appertaining (sic) to the only propper (sic) use benefit and behoof (sic) of him the said John Nichols Senr his heirs and assigns forever and the said Anderson Berryman doth for himself his heirs and assigns that before recited tract and bargained premises will warrant and forever defend against himself his heirs and against any persons or persons claiming in or under [illegible] whatsoever. In witness hereof the said Anderson Berryman hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written.
