state of N. Carolina Registered 1st May 1820

To all to whom these presents shyall come Greeting: Know ye that we 
pursuant to an act of our general assmbly entitled and for the relief 
of the officers and soldiers of the continental line and for other 
purposes and in consideration of the signal bravery and perserverance 
zeal of Jessey ROBERSON or BOBERSON a corporal have given and granted 
and by these presents do give and grant unto Lardner CLARK assignee of 
the heirs of said Jessey Robinson a tract of land containing onethousand 
acres lying and being in our county of Davidson on the waters of West 
Harpeth River beginning at Major ABSALOM TIBOM s south west corner at a 
white oak extend west four hundred and fifty poles to a black oak thence 
north two hundred and thirty four poles to a red oak thence east two 
hundred  and sixty one poles to a white oak and walnut thence earst 
one hundred and seventy poles to a black walnut thence south fife hundred
and ninety five poles to the beginning..... cause to be recorded in our
county of Davidson within twelve months.... seventeeth day of January....
one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine. Sam Johnston.
