Wikoff, Ann Wikoff, Peter Wikoff, Isaac Wikoff, Henry Wikoff and Robert Smith registered 29th April 1820. Know all men by these presents that we Jacob C. Wikoff, Ann Wikoff, Peter Wikoff and Isaac Wikoff Sole heirs with the exception of William Wikoff who is absent and cannot therefore concur in this letter of attorney of Isaac Wikoff, Henry Wikoff sole heir s of Peter Wikoff Decd. & Robert Smith have made ordained authorised constitued and appointed & by these presents do make ordain, authorise constitute and appoint in our stead place put Robert Searcy of Nashville in the State of Tennessee our true lawful attorney for us in our name to sell as our attorney shall he best all the following eight hundred acres lying on the Saline? Creek & belonging to the heirs of Isaac WIKOFF decd. one tract containing five hundred sixty seven & an half acres lying on the west ..... granted to Landowr or Lardowr CLARK & now belonging to the heirs of Isaac Wikoff decd one tract containing one hudred and fifty five acres being the residue of a tract of six hundred and forty acres conveyed to Peter Wikoff now deceased and which said residue belongst to the said Henry Wikoff one of the constituents in the letter of attorney named, one tract containing one hundred and fifty acres lying on Stones River conveyed to Robert SMITH and William TILTON and one other tract containing one thousand acres in the name of ROBERT SMITH conveyed to him by WIKOFF & CLARK lying on Ruffool or Russool River at the mouth of Paw Paw Creek lying on the Indian boundary and also the following land warrant f..l in the said state of Tennessee, towit, one arrant for four hundred and thirty six and an half acres in the name of Isaac WIKOFF now deceased and belonging to the heirs of the said Isaac Wikoff being the quantity last in the said tract lying on West Harpeth for which the warrant was originally one thousand acres but of which part was lost by the interference of Colonel Hardy Murfries tract of 5740 acres in the name of Peter Wikoff now deceased and belonging to the said Henry Wikoff being the quantity lost on a warrant for 440 acres the residue of which is the 155 acres above recited by the interferences of General Nash’s 1200 acre tract. One warrant for Ten hundred and forty acres in the name of Robert Smith and William Titton being in lieu of a warrant for the same number of acres on the south side of Cumberland River below the Cross Creek and about 3 miles South of Cumberland which land could not be identified and whereas it appears by a certiciate of MARTIN ARMSTRONG Surveyor given at Office the 6th July 1801 that certain other tracts of land are intend on military warrants in the name of said Robert SMITH for which he has not received conveyances he does hereby authorise the said Robert Searcy to take all steps which may be necessary to obtain constitute and perfect titles to the same and to take out other warrants in case the said tracts cannot be identified which said last mentioned tracts are as follows one entered on warrant No 188 in the name of Robert Smith lying on Stones River on the South side of the mouth of Stewarts Creek running up Stone’s river and Stewarts Creek for quantity 1828 acres entered 16th February 1784 (page 2nd?) surveyed by Robert WEAKLY June 23rd 1792 one tract entered on warrant No. 1654 in the name of Robert Smith of Archibald LYTH, of Robert ROWLAND lying on the waters of Big Harpeth adjoining the east boundary of ANDREW GOFF ‘s prescription running & c. for continuest for 640 acres entered 265h November 1785 (page 131) Surveyed 29th November 1792 by John BUCHANNON, one tract entered on warrant No. 277 in the name of Robert SMITH of DANIEL RICE lying on Hays s Creek a fork of Harpeth adjoining John MCMURRAY and William MARSHALL and survey of said Smiths for 640 acres entered 30th November 1792 (page 437) surveyed 27th November 1792 by John Buchannan , one tract entered on warrant No in the name of Robert Smith of (blank) lying on the west fork of Jones ‘s Creek beginning at a white oak on the Chickasaw Trace being Robert Coper ‘s corner thence north and west for con... for 650 acres entered 22nd November 1785 (page 145) but no date of survey appears on W. ARMSTRONG ‘s certificatej, one tract entered on warrant No. 1464 in the name of Robert Smith of Chamberlin HUDSON lying on Hays Creek a branch of Harpeth adjoining Isaac DRAKE and Daniel WILLIAMS and others for 640 acres entered on the 30th November 1792 (page 437) and surveyed by John BUCHANNAN on the 24th November 1792, one tract entered on warrant No. 1460 in the name of Robert Smith of CLARK and WIKOFF of George DOWNING on the east fork of the North Cross Creek adjoining the east boundary of Jesse Maney ‘s presumption for 274 acres entered the 8th December 1785 (page 138) and surveyed by Thomas Molly on the 15th March 1795 and in the constituents above named do hereby authorise our said attorney to sell the said tracts of land and land warrants for the best prices that can be had or gotten for the same either for cash or on credit as to him shall seem right and also for us and in our names and on our behalf to enter into any contracts for the same with any person or persons who shall agree to be the purchases or purchasers thereof ... thereof or any part thereof to sign seal execute all or any such contracts agreements conveyances ... provided always that in the said conveyances there be not a general warranty but a special warranty against all persons claiming or to claim under the grantor or grantors that each conveyances be made in the name or names only of the person or persons parties thereto to whom the particular tract or warrant belongs & to do perform all such acts & things for perfecting such sale or sales thereof or any part thereof as shall be requisite and necessary in that behalf & upon the receipt of money arising from such sale or sales to give sufficient releases acquittances & discharges for the same and we do hereby ratify & confirm all whatsoever our said Attorney shall legally do or procure or cause to be done in and touching the premisees. And we for ourselves our heirs executors and administrators do hereby covenant & agree & with the said Robert Searcy his heirs , executors, and administrators that we our heirs, executors and administrators shall & will at all times hereafter upon request make do execute and perfor all or any such further acts deeds or things for the better conforming and perfecting of any such sales of the said premises or any part thereof as aforesaid as shall be reasonably advised deivsed or required in witness where of we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals at Philadelphia this 21st day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and nineteen Jacob C.
