M. Wells deed for 115 A 22 District executed by Thos Powell registered 21 Nov 1842 I Thomas Powell have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Reubin M. Wells and his heirs forever for the consideration of one thousand three hundred and eighty dollars to me paid, a tract of land in the State of Tennessee, Williamson County and District No. 22. Containing by estimation one hundred and fifteen acres be the same more or less, and bounded as follows-- Beginning at an Ash, Sugar tree and Dogwood, running thence North 84 Deg West 27 1/2 poles to a stake, thence North 85 1/2 Deg West eleven poles to an elm, thence South thirty two poles to a stake, thence South 85 Degrees West thirty four poles to a stake, thence South 5 Degrees West thirty poles to the forks of the Creek, thence south sixty poles to a stake, thence East fifty eight poles to a stake, thence south sixty four poles to a stake, thence south 87 Degrees East one hundred and three poles to a stake, thence North fifty seven poles to a stake, thence West forty two poles to a stake, thence North sixty poles to a stake, thence West twenty eight poles to a Oak, thence North ninety eight poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the same to the said Reuben M. Wells his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with the said Reuben M. Wells that I am lawfully seized of said land have a good right to convey it and that the same is unincumbered. I do further covenant and bind myself, my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever defend the title of the said land and every part thereof to the said Reuben M.
