Patterson-Bland Family Cemetery

LOCATION:  The Patterson-Bland Family Cemetery is located about three miles 
south of Watertown at 781 Smith Hollow Road. It is on the hill behind the 
restored Patterson double story farm house built in the 1800's. There are 
many graves here, some marked and legible and some not legible. Others are 
grown over and some markers have fallen over. The last burial here was in 
1921. (Indicates notes on individuals)

SAMUEL L. BLAND
Born Sept 26, 1808
Died Feb 26, 1832
(Son of Williamson Bland and Dorcas Williams, born in Mecklenburg Co. VA. Family history 
suggests that he was a school teacher and choked to death on a fish bone. Was married to Mahala Binkley.)
