All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tn/tnfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sue Gregory sagsspot@aol.com April 5, 2008, 9:47 am Wilson Co., TN Deed Book L; pg 207 4 July 1818 Written: July 4, 1818 Recorded: November 30, 1826 This indenture made this fourth day of July in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred & eighteen by & between Adam Simmons of the county of Wilson & State of Tennessee of the one part & Hugh Garmany of the county & State of aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for an in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to him in hand said do bargain sell and deliver & do by these presence bargain sell & deliver & do by these presence Bargain sell & deliver to the said Garmany a certain tract or parcel of land lying & being in the county State of afforsaid on the waters of Bradley's Creek beginning at a hackberry & Redbud William Marshall's north east corner running thence South five degrees ____ with said Marshall's line forty four poles to a ___ elder & elm on the bank of the said Bradley's Creek thence up the ______ ___ of said Creek including half the water of said Creek to where said Creek intersects with Donoho West boundary line thence north with said line thirtyone poles to on Ironwood & beach said Garmany's corner thence west to said Garmany's line to the begining boundary by _____ ____ thirty two acres the same being _____ or _____ to have and to held to him the said Hugh Garmany his heirs & assigns forever & to the said Adam Simmons do for myself my heirs executors & administrators do warrant & for ever defend the before _____ land to him the said Garmany his heirs & assigns for ever against the claim of all person or persons whatsoever in testimony I here unto set my hand and affix my seal this day & date above written signed and sealed. D Lansden Robert Callahan State of Tennessee Wilson County Court Sept Term 1826 The written deed of bargan and sale from Adam Simmons to Hurgh Garmany for thirty five acres of land was duly proven in open court by the oaths of William Garmany and Ezekiel C Witty two of subscribing witness thereto and ordered to be registerd.
