Bottoms To Deed Jacob N. Jennings This Indenture made & entered into this 7th day of November in the Year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & fifty by & between Paskell H. Bottoms of the County of Wilson & State of Tennessee of the one part & Jacob N. Jennings of the other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him the said Bottoms in hand paid do bargain, sell & deliver to the said Jennings a certain tract or parcel of land situated, lying & being in the County of Wilson & State aforesaid on the waters of Fall Creek, & bounded as follows to wit, beginning on a buckeye Quarles north west corner & Jacob Brummetts north boundary thence east eighty three poles to a large birch , thence north one hundred & two poles to a beach, thence west eighty three poles to a beach, thence north twelve poles to a small beach, thence south 70 degrees west sixty four poles to a large beach, thence south ninety two poles to a hickory in Jacob Brummetts north boundary line, thence east with said line sixty eight poles to the beginning containing ninety four acres to have & to hold to him the said Jacob N. Jennings, his heirs & assigns forever & I the said Paskel H. Bottoms do for myself, my heirs, Executors and adms do warrant & forever defend the before recited land and premises to him the said Jennings, his heirs & assigns forever against the claims of all person or persons whatsoever. In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this day & delivered in presents of A. Harris Paskel H. Bottoms (seal) William M. Johns State of Tennessee ) Wilson County ) Personally appeared before me Josiah S. McClain, Clerk of the County Court of said County of Wilson William M. Johns on the 22nd August past by the oath of A Harris on this day subsenting witnesses to the same who being sworn depose & say they are acquainted with Paskell H. Bottoms the within named bargained & that he acknowledged the same to his act & deed in their presents upon the day that it bears date Witness my hand at office this 3rd day of October, 1853. J. S.
