Howell and Polly Howell all of the County of Wilson and State of Tennessee witnesseth that we the said legatees of the said Barnaba Eagan Decd have this day bargained sold and by these presents do grant bargain & sell unto Barnaba Eagan, Junior for & in consideration of the sum of three hundred & ninety dollars to us the said legatees in hand paid by the said Barnaba Eagan Jr the receipt whereof the legatees do acknowledge have bargained & sold and by these presents do grant bargain and sell unto the said Barnaba Eagan Jr one certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Wilson and State aforesaid and on the waters of Spencers Creek containing sixty five acres be the same more or less to wit beginning as follows on Eperson Bandy's east boundary line and on Jesse Eagan's south west corner on a white oak and Iron wood running thence east one hundred and sixty poles to a small ash and willow thence south sixty five poles to an elm and sixty poles to a stake thence north sixty five poles to the beginning to have & to hold the above granted tract or parcel of land unto him the said Barnaba Eagan Jr his heirs or assigns forever with all and singular the appurtenances and ... thereunto belonging and we the said legatees of the said Barnaba Eagan Decd do warrant and forever defend the rights of the above tract of land unto Barnaba Eagan Jr forever and we the said legatees of the said Barnaba Eagan Decd doth bind ourselves our heirs executors administrators & assigns to warrant and forever defend unto the said Barnaba Eagan Jr his heirs or assigns forever the right and title to the above tract or parcel of land in testimony whereof we the said legatees of the said Barnaba Eagan Decd hath hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals the day and year above written.
