Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Wilson County, Tennessee Deed Book L, p. 88 This Indenture made this thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and twenty four between John Eagan of the County of Morgain and State of Alabama of the one part and Jesse Eagan of the County of Wilson and State of Tennessee of the other part Witnesseth that I the sd John Eagan for and in consideration of the sum of thirty six dollars to me in hand paid by the said Jesse Eagan before the sealing and delivery of these presence the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presence doth bargain sell and convey and confirm unto the sd Jesse Eagan his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing four acres and one half lying and being in the County of Wilson and State of Tennessee and on the South side of Cumberland River and on the waters of Spencers Creek beginning at a stake on said John Eagan west boundary at said John Eagan beginning corner thence running east twelve poles to a rock and ... thence south sixty five poles to a rock thence twelve poles to an ash thence north sixty five poles to the beginning to have and to hold the above mentioned premises with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging and the benefits and ... arising therefrom unto the said Jesse Eagan his heirs and assigns to his or their only use forever and the said John Eagan for himself his heirs executors administrators or assigns doth warrant and forever defend the right and title of the said four and one half acres of land against the claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever to the said Jesse Eagan.
