Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred & fifty dollars in hand paid by the said Isaac Green to the said John Eagan the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and he the said John Eagan his heirs executors administrators & assigns hath this day bargained sold and conveyed unto the said Isaac Green his heirs and assigns one certain tract or parcel of land situated lying & being in the County of Wilson and State aforesaid upon the waters of Spencers Creek and adjoining the lands of the said Isaac Green and other containing sixty and one half acres be the same more or less bounded as follows to wit Beginning at Peter Lury south boundary line three and a half poles east of the beginning corner at a stake running west with Lurys line eighty poles to a stake thence south one hundred and thirty poles to Hendericks North boundary line to a Pine Elm thence east with said line eighty poles to a stake on Abner Stewarts west boundary line thence north one hundred and thirty poles to the beginning it being the east end of a tract belonging to Barnabas Eagan decd. Together with all & singular belonging or in any wise appertaining to have and to hold the aforesaid tract or parcel of land with the appurtenances to him the said Isaac Green his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever and I the John Eagan my heirs executors administrators assigns doth hereby agree to warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract of land free and clear from me my heirs executors administrators or assigns and whatsoever to him the said Isaac Green his heirs or assigns forever. In testimony whereof the said John Eagan hath subscribed my name & affixed my seal the day and date above written. John Eagan SEAL Signed Sealed and delivered in the presence of Hugh Eagan Jurat Henry Cocke Jurat State of Tennessee Wilson County Court December Term 1824 The within deed of bargain and sale from John Eagan to Isaac Green for 60 1/2 acres of land was duly proven in open court by the oaths of Hugh Eagan and Henry Cocke the subscribing witnesses there to and ordered to be registered.
