Persons or organizations desiring to use this material, must obtain the written consent of the contributor, or the legal representative of the submitter, and contact the listed USGenWeb archivist with proof of this consent. ************************************************************************ Wilson County, Tennessee Deed Book I, p. 412 This Indenture made this third day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen between Hugh Eagan of the County of Wilson and State of Tennessee of the one part & David McKnight of the County of Rutherford and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that I Hugh Eagan for the love and good will that I the said Hugh Eagan bears towards the said David McKight his heirs executors administrators or assigns doth grant give & bequeath unto the said David McKnight his heirs and assigns & etc fifteen acres of land lying and being in the County of Wilson on the waters of Spencers Creek beginning as follows to wit on Hugh Eagans west boundary line on a dogwood and elm running east one hundred and eleven and one half poles to a dogwood then a south twenty one and 1/2 poles to Samuel Grays North boundary line thence west with said line one hundred eleven & 1/2 poles to a stake thence north to the beginning to have and to hold the above granted premises with all appurtenances thereto belonging with all and singular the benefits emoluments there unto & therefrom to a rise unto the said David McKnight his heirs and assigns to his and there only use forever and the said Hugh Eagan for himself and his heirs executors and administrators doth hereby covenant grant and agree to and with the said David McKnight his heirs and assigns the said land with all and singular the premises and appurtenances before mentioned unto the said David McKight his heirs and assigns free from the claim of myself my heirs and all person or persons claiming under me whatsoever shall and will warrant and defend by these presents forever In witness where of the said Hugh Eagan hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and year above written.
