He was born in 1758, and died in 1834. He enlisted in the army while living in Kent County, Delaware. He was one of the guards at the execution of Major Andre. After the Revolution he moved to Tennessee and lived in Wilson County. He married, 1784, in Delaware, Elizabeth Thompson, who survived him and drew pension in Wilson County. Note:- Among their children were Frances, who married John Peyton; Rev. John Kelly, born 1802, died 1865, who married Lavinia Campbell; Drusilla, born 1790, died 1862, who married William Johnston (born 1784, died 1826).
