All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/tn/tnfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Sue Gregory sagsspot@aol.com April 5, 2008, 9:55 am Source: Wilson Co., Will Bk: Page 461-462 (472-473) Written: April 4, 1826 Recorded: October 21, 1826 "In the name God amen, I Hugh Gearmany of the state of Tennessee and County of Wilson being sick and weak of body but of sound mind and dispsosing me in love for which I thank God and calling to mind the uncertainty of human life and being dis------ to dispose all such mortal substance as it hath pleased God to bless me with, I give and bequeath in a manner following that is to Law(?). 1st after paying any dept and funeral charges, I give to my wife Margaret Gearmany the farm on which I now live, all the stock to use & old furniture, farming tools and carriages of all discription is to be at her disposal during her natural life, at her death I will that son William Gearmany have said farm. 2nd I will that if my daughter Jane Garmany marry before her mothers death that she have one Horse her choice of those on the farm, a saddle and bridle (with bits?) and furniture, one bureau, four head of cattle. 3rd I will that that the five Hundred Dollars, part of which I have now in (property/-------?) the other at (--------?) during her life and at her death that my daughter Jane Gearmany have three Hundred Dollars of the same. 4th I give unto my son in law Theodore Ross one Dollar to be rec'd at the death of my wife. 5th I will that my son in law Alexander Lackey, have one Dollar at the death of my wife Margaret. 6th I will that my son in law Edon Donnell have also one Dollar at the death of my wife Margaret. 7th I will that all the property belong to the estate that is not willed be disposed of by my wife Margaret Gearmany & at her death as the (------?) property. Lastly I do here by constitute and appoint my friend, Margaret Gearmany & Jesse Alexander executers of this my last will and Testament, hereby making all other former wills or Testaments by me here after made In minds where of I have here unto set one hand and seal this 4th day of April in the year of our Lord 1826.
