I Samuel Hancock of Wilson County and State of Tennessee [and in the excy of: crossed out] being this day in my proper senses and in the excy of my mind do set and constitute this my last Will & Testament by wich(sic) I (lefto?) give and bequeath unto my son Martin Hancock one Negro man named Cob, one Negro man named Jim to William New, one Negro man named Peter to John Hancock, one Negro woman and her increase named Nan to Samuel Hancock, one Negro man named Frank to Dawson Hancock, one Negro woman & her increase named Beck to Simon Hancock, one Negro woman and her increase named Peg to Molley(sic) Smith. It is my desire that William Hern(sic) my son-in-law should have one dollar and Edward Harris my son-in-law one dollar. It is my desire that the children of Sarah Hern(sic) should have four hundred dollars of the notes (ned?) was sold for now in the care of Etheldred Harris. It is my desire that my Negro Lee should have her choice which of my children she would belong to. I appoint my sons Martin Hancock and Dawson Hancock my Executors of this my last will and testament in testimony whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this thireth(sic) [thirtieth] day of December eighteen hundred & ten.
