Item. I deaire and bequeath unto my son Jonathan one sorrell colt Item. I give and bequeath unto my son John P. Tipton one hundred dollars and also after selling as much of my perishable property as will pay my just debts. Item. I give unto my beloved wife Lidia my land and plantation utensils and also all the residue of my property during her natural life or widowhood it is also my wish she should raise my youngest children and school them to wit; Sally, Reuben, Missouria, Henry and John P. Tipton the best she can and then it is my wish and desire for the land and other property to be equally divided amongst all my children to wit; my oldest Ruth Green, Margaret Eagan, Elizabeth Parker, Susan Tipton, Jonathan Tipton, Sally Tipton, Reuben Tipton, Missouria Tipton, Henry Tipton, and John P. Tipton and lastly I also constitute and appoint my friend James Tipton and Henry Cocke executors to this my last Will and Testament given under my hand and seal this the thirteenth day of December 1827. Tipton was produced in open court and fully proven by the oaths of John Whitson and Willis Wray subscribing witnesses therein and ordered to be recorded. Teste John (???) Clerk of Court Additional Comments: Reese Bowen Tipton was born ca 1773 in Baltimore, MD to Jonathan Tipton & Elizabeth Ford. He probably married in Washington Co., TN to Lydia (Ryder?).
