All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *************************************** This Church and Cemetery has been designated as a Historical Site, It was established in 1853 and served the community until the 1940's. The Church still stands, unused but the cemetery still has burials. There are many graves (40 or 50 marked only with rocks head and foot and some with funeral markers all illegible. The Oldest documented grave is the infant child of Daniel & Elizabeth Willingham Cook. He died 7 Aug. 1855. The latest burial is of Odis Wayne Newman 10 May 1938 to 28 Feb.2002 To reach this cemetery from the loop in Tyler , drive south on 155 (abt 26 miles) thru the town of Frankston Look for sign on the right side of the road (Old Bethel Cemetery). Turn left on Anderson Co. Rd.327 The Chuch and Cemetery are on the South side of the road.
