West, N. W. Hunter, Rev. Innes O. Adams and M. L. Lynch, Architect, the foundation was staked off. The contract for the foundation was let by the building committee November 22nd. On the evening of Nov. 29th a meeting of the congregation was held at the residence of the N. W. Hunter when Messrs G. S. West, N. W Hunter, A. R. Howard, R. S. Hayes, John Kirksey, J. B. Armstrong, and D. S. H. Smith were elected vestrymen. On the same day the Rev. Innes O. Adams was called by the vestry to serve them as minister. From December 1877 to 1st January 1879, the Rev'd E. Hamvasy was Rector of the parish. On the 28th Feby 1879, the Rev'd G. W. Durnbell was called to be Rector of the Parrish, and entered upon his duties the same day. On the 22nd day of March 1881, the Rev'd G. S Drunbell received a call to the Rectory of Grace Church, Galveston, which he accepted, and left this Parish on the 18th May, 1881. The Rev. Geo.
